Challenge: To create a newsletter to help promote the client’s new Juneteenth content to their email list, while also enticing organizations to purchase advertising space in their upcoming news edition.
Solution: I used language that appealed to both segments of their email list (general readers and advertisers). I also made the newsletter feel more personable and inviting by using phrases like “join us”, “your community”, and “help make a statement”.
Lastly, I created the copy and graphic for the Healing Circle flyer to further push the goal of the newsletter and to increase engagement for the client’s weekly livestream.
